Which bones to level

Skull pays the most on the published type list, but only level a bone your ragdoll actually has.

Four bone types pay Cash when they hit a surface. The published order, from most profitable to least, is Skull, Rib Cage, Arm Bone, then Leg Bone. The same page says the result still depends on the ragdoll, because later bodies raise the base Cash of each break.

Where you buy levels

Step on the green pressure pads in the hub. Each pad is marked with a bone. The level costs Cash. Every level applies a hidden multiplier somewhere from 1.3 to 1.9 on the base stat. No per-level price curve and no exact multiplier step are published, so this guide does not invent a level-30 value.

Match the pad to the body

Open the ragdoll page and read the four counts before you spend.

If the count is Do this
0 Skip that pad. Star has 0 skulls, Tadpole has 0 arms, Octagon has 0 skulls, Crawler has 0 arms and 0 legs.
1 Still worth leveling if it is a skull or rib cage.
2 or more Prioritize it, especially extra skulls. Mutant, Doubles, Chunk, Triplet, Centipede, Hydra, and Crawler are the early-to-mid skull stacks.

Crawler is the extreme published layout: 9 skulls and 4 rib cages, and nothing else, at 11.00 T Cash. Until you own it, do not copy a Crawler leveling plan onto Default.

Even spread versus one bone

A general tip says spreading levels beats maxing a single limb, because every bone that breaks pays. That advice fits Default, which has all four types. It does not fit a body with a zero. On Walker (0 arms, 4 legs) an arm level does nothing, and the four legs are the type listed as least profitable, so Skull and Rib Cage still come first even though there is only one of each.

Later ragdolls are still the main Cash jump. Bone levels multiply the body you have. They do not replace buying the next body.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you actually do in Break your Bones?

Place a ragdoll on the conveyor or drop, let physics smash it through obstacles, and collect Cash from each broken bone. Spend Cash on bone levels, the next ragdoll, and Material Spin.

Does Break your Bones have codes?

No code box is documented for this experience. Use the conveyor, bone pads, Material Spin, and rebirth shrine instead.

What should a new player buy first?

Level bones your current ragdoll has, especially Skull and Rib Cage, and buy Mutant at 800 Cash when you can. The first Material Spin is about 10,000 Cash and gets more expensive.

How much is the first rebirth?

The published first rebirth is 25 billion Cash at the shrine beside the material stations. It grants a 2x modifier and three materials. The second is 25 quadrillion Cash for 4x.
